1.
The biggest surprise for me in the reading was
the part that explained that entrepreneurs and small business owners are not
the same thing. I am used to using the words interchangeably and I was
surprised to learn that I have been using the terms in the wrong way.
2.
The approaches to entrepreneurship were
confusing to me, specifically the macro view. Although this concept was
confusing at first to me, I reread the section a couple times and now it is no
longer confusing.
3.
Questions I would ask the author include: “ You
said that it is a myth that entrepreneurs are always inventors. If they are not
always inventors, how do you know when it’s appropriate to use innovative
behavior?” “You said that entrepreneurs will to be the answer to any economic
downturn, and they will continue to lead economic growth in several ways. How
is this always the case?”
4.
I don’t think the author was necessarily wrong
about anything, but I would like to question some of the things he said such as,
whether entrepreneurs will always be the answer to economic downturns.
