Week 3: Reading Reflection
1.
The most surprising part of the reading is that
there is a dark side of entrepreneurship. I was aware that there are risks with
entrepreneurship, but I failed to realize how intense they can be.
2.
A confusing part of the reading was unrealistic
optimism. I found it confusing how an entrepreneur can get himself as well as
others to believe in extreme fantasies and how they can do it without causing a
self-deceptive state.
3.
If I could ask the author 2 questions it would
be, “ How do you know whether the ethical consciousness of your organization is
right?” and “ Do you believe that rationalizing your ethical decisions can harm
your organization in the long run?”
4.
I really do not think that the author was wrong
about anything in this chapter. I tended to agree with all of his claims and he
often had research to support it.
