Idea Napkin No. 1

Idea Napkin No. 1
1) You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am Gabie and I am a web design and advertising major with a minor in business administration. I am very organized and detail oriented. I am very creative and love to solve problems based on discovered insights. Even if I don't end up developing this product myself, I hope someone does because I really believe it is beneficial.
2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
The text terminator permanently replaces the cigarette lighter in the car and blocks all incoming and outgoing texts while the ignition is on.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
I am offering a way to stop texting and driving when the ignition is on. The text terminator will stop all temptation and will guarantee that your child will never receives a text or texts while behind the wheel
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
They care because more teen age drivers are in accidents due to texting and driving then drinking and driving
5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?

A product like this doesn't exist. This problem has been established, but there has yet to be a solution. This product can prevent many accidents from occurring.

  1. Gabie,
I think you are on to something here. However, there are other many other apps/ technologies that are very similar to this. Therefore, I think you may have a hard time selling this idea. As far as format, and your first attempt at an idea napkin though, I think this is great! If you have time, check out mine as well. It is http://bongjukang.blogspot.com/2016/02/idea-napkin-no-1.html

  2. Hey Gabie! I think you have a really interesting idea here. I know there are some parents that would pay for this app but only at a certain price. Because this app is not a necessity people will not pay a large sum of money for it. I think it would be hard to make this app extremely profitable but I think it would be a safe options for parents to choose. I think you would enjoy my post! http://cambent.blogspot.com/2016/02/idea-napkin-no1.html

  3. Gabie, your idea is very interesting. It definitely has some value and can be something that you may pursue. The app would be inexpensive and would apply to a large amount of people. Getting word of mouth advertisement would be the best thing for this app, which should be your main focus going forward. Our ideas don't really have anything in common, however, I am confident in both yours and my ideas. If you would like to check out my blog, here's the link:

  4. I think you have come up with a great idea to end texting and driving. With the amount of crashes per day, this country is in much need of a change in distracted driving. Your idea has good potential in being successful and I think it could work. The only issue I see is that can people turn it off anytime they want? Or is it per antsy on when they are driving? Other than that you did a great job.
