right now with terrorism attacks associated with with ISIS.

Rapid Climate Change
is a serious problem especially global warming.

Another problem
includes the increase of multi-drug resistant bacteria, in addition to the
threat of deadly viruses going pandemic, such as influenza and MERS.

Another problem is
economic collapse and fragilities in the global economy can severely affect the
developed world

Gun control is a major
problem of the daily violence such as school shootings and guns get into the
wrong hands.
Most
Possible to Implement Solutions
1.
A practical solution
would be to reduce, reuse and recycle.
2.
A practical solution
can be vaccinations.
3.
A practical solution
would be background checks even of sealed records.
4.
This can be spreading
prosperity to places in need and government interference.
5.
A practical solution
would be increasing safety protocols, awareness and security in regards to
traveling and crossing borders.
I believe that the top problem in the world right now is
terrorism and the latest attacks associated with ISIS. I chose this to be the
biggest problem because many are at risk and a solution is urgent in order to
keep the world safe. The other problems below are still very big issues, but
those problems are on a much larger scale and will need a long period of time
for a solution to show. As far as solutions, I rated reduce, reuse and recycle
as the most possible to implement because it is an easy task that everyone can
do. On the other hand, I rated increasing safety protocols around crossing
borders as the least likely to implement because it is out of the control of
most people.
I agree with all of your problems and think you did a great job identifying things! Also, I love that you mentioned drug resistant bacteria because this isn't even something that i thought of when considering my list, but it is such a huge issue! You did a great job with this, and I love how you used this post to state what you believe is the biggest problem and yet still don't make the other problems seem small.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the posting; I appreciate the simplicity of your solutions and would agree with your summation of the order. Your top problem seems to be a common occurrence; would you agree that the issue of ISIS is one (albeit the major one) of a larger group of terrorist activities? Examples might be African warlords or south american drug cartels that are committing genocidal activities (similar to ISIS in the middle east).

ReplyDeleteI could not agree more with the first issue being radical islamic terrorism, it was number 1 on my list as well. Climate change is another thing that I agree with you on, and feel that it has the potential to destroy our planet if left ignored. You are also right about how we should utilize recycling, to conserve natural resources. With 795 million people worldwide suffering from malnutrition, it is hard to disagree with this being one of the top 10 world issues. I believe this will one of the most challenging problems we face.
